Grant Activity: Teach courses, conduct research or carry out a combination of lecturing and research activities in any academic or professional discipline.
Language: English is widely spoken, and many university classes are taught in English. A knowledge of Arabic appropriate to the proposed research is helpful, but not necessary.
Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience is required.
Location: University of Bahrain; College of Health Sciences; Arabian Gulf University or Bahrain Center for Studies and Research
Length of Grant: 5 months to 10 months
Starting Date: September 2009 for 5- or 10-month awards or February 2010 for 5-month awards
Comments: Previous awards have been made in American studies, biological sciences, business, education, environmental sciences, library science, psychology, social sciences, TEFL and urban planning. New applications are not limited to these fields. Practicing professionals with higher education teaching experience will be considered.
