Grant Activity: Teach one or two introductory and/or intermediate undergraduate and graduate courses in grantee's area of specialization. Teaching load is approximately 10 hours per week. Participation in departmental activities, such as thesis advising and curriculum development, is expected. Average class size would be 30-50 students. Students purchase books.

Additional Qualifications: Ph.D. with some teaching experience and rank of associate professor or higher.

Length of Grant: 4 months to 8 months
Starting Date: October 2009 for entire academic-year grants; February 2010 for second semester grants
Comments: Letter of invitation required. The university provides assistance in finding furnished housing. For the first week the scholar is accommodated at the university residence. The university gives a monthly housing allowance of approximately 350 euro.
