Grant Activity: Lecture, conduct research or propose a project combining both activities. Preference for lecturing projects or research projects with some regular lecturing component. No summer research or study is possible.

Specialization(s): Preference for scholars in social sciences and humanities, especially American and African American studies, economics, environmental sciences, law, communications, and media science.

Language: German proficiency must be appropriate for the proposed research, if a research component is included in the project.

Location: Applicants are encouraged to arrange affiliation & include letter of invitation.
|

Length of Grant: 2 months to 10 months
|

Starting Date: Between September 2009 and March 2010
|

Comments: Applicants are encouraged to arrange an affiliation appropriate to the proposed activity and should include copies of invitations from proposed host institutions with their application. Preference for scholars who have not received Fulbright Scholar grants to Germany within the last 10 years.
