Grant Activity: Lecture or lecture and conduct research in any discipline. Proposals for medical research involving clinical training, patient care or patient contact are not eligible.

Language: English is sufficient for teaching.

Location: Applicants must arrange affiliation and submit a letter of invitation.

Length of Grant: 4 months to 9 months

Starting Date: Late August 2009 or early January 2010

Comments: Research-only grants are not available. Applicant negotiates details regarding teaching/research ratio, number and level of courses taught, etc., with host institution. It is strongly recommended that the host institution includes this information in detail in letter of invitation. The length and dates of proposed visit should also be mentioned in the invitation letter. Housing must be arranged and paid for by the host institution for the scholar and this information must be confirmed in the letter of invitation.
