Grant Activity: Scholars will lecture or conduct research in their areas of interest. Detailed programs as well as work schedules will be finalized in cooperation with the scholar once grantees are selected. Given the particular conditions that exist in Cyprus, scholars should be informed of the complicated political situation on the island and that they must be aware of the local sensitivities in putting forward their proposals. Projects must be feasible in terms of placement and affiliation and be acceptable to both the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities.

Specialization(s): The Commission announces the "All Disciplines" award only. The Cyprus Fulbright Commission is looking to bring to Cyprus scholars particularly in the fields of drug abuse and prevention, archaeology, history, geology, domestic violence, nursing, conflict resolution/conflict management and American studies.

Language: English is sufficient for lecturing.

|
Additional Qualifications: Minimum qualification is preferably at the Ph.D. level and should include relevant professional experience.

Location: Affiliation to be determined, but applicant may indicate preference.
|
|
Length of Grant: 4 months to 7 months
|
|
Starting Date: September 2009 or January 2010
|
