Grant Activity: Teach undergraduate- and graduate-level courses in area of specialization. Deliver occasional guest lectures and public presentations and organize workshops at other universities as requested by interested universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Consult on curriculum and program development. Assist with thesis advising and faculty training. Conduct research in area of specialization and participate in ongoing research projects.
Specialization(s): Preferences include, but are not limited to American studies, constitutional and administrative law, journalism, mass communication, linguistics and psychology. Applications in other fields are also welcome.
Language: English is sufficient for lecturing.
Additional Qualifications: While applicants with a Ph.D. are preferred, professionals with university teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
Location: Affiliation to be determined by program needs and local conditions, but applicants may express preference for one or more universities in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Bihac or Mostar: Dzemal Bijedic University.
Length of Grant: 4 months to 9 months
Starting Date: October 2009 or February 2010 for one-semester grants; October 2009 for academic-year grants
Comments: Additional information may be available for some of the requested fields of specialization and regarding relevant departmental affiliations and contacts. Preference, however, will be given to proposals that will contribute to the educational, economic, social, civil or legal reconstruction of Bosnia or to the rebuilding of physical or institutional infrastructure.
