Grant Activity: Conduct research in area of expertise. Grantees may be asked to give guest lectures on their research and conduct guest seminars and workshops at host university and other institutions.
Specialization(s): Social sciences, humanities, environmental studies, agriculture and forestry, higher education administration, education, information science, creative writing, public health
Additional Qualifications: Applicants must be at least 3 years beyond the completion of their Ph.D. or other terminal degree in applicant's field.
Location: Affiliation to be determined.
Length of Grant: 3 months to 10 months
Starting Date: After September 1, 2009. Grants must be completed by August 31, 2010.
Comments: Research areas of particular interest include sustainable development approached from a variety of disciplines--including anthropology, agriculture, economics, environmental studies and policy and environmental health--and communication and information policy approached from the perspectives of the disciplines of mass communications, law, public administration or library and information sciences. Collaboration with local scholars is desirable. Professionals in the indicated fields without university teaching experience are welcome to apply.
