Comments: Awards may start any time after September 1, 2009, and before August 1, 2010, but must be completed by September 30, 2010. These awards are intended for individuals who have another source of funding who would like to enjoy the cultural enrichment, status and services provided to Fulbright grantees. Applicants should have already secured or have applied for funding from universities or other organizations in Taiwan or the United States. A letter indicating the source of support should be included with the application. The total amount of the award will vary with the length of stay in Taiwan, based upon an allowance of between NT$17,000 (approximately US$500) to NT$40,000 (approximately US$1,176) per month.
