Grant Activity: Teach one or two undergraduate or graduate courses each semester in the social sciences, humanities or business administration. Some team teaching as well as public lectures may be required. Consult on curriculum development and conduct research. Opportunities are available to lecture at other universities.

Comments: Preference is for associate or full professors with a minimum of 5 years teaching experience and a record of research and publication appropriate for career stage. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the Web sites of the potential host institutions: City University of Hong Kong, www.cityu.edu.hk; Hong Kong Baptist University, www.hkbu.edu.hk; Lingnan University, www.ln.edu.hk. Applicants are urged to secure a letter of invitation from a host institution. Otherwise the U.S. Consulate in Hong Kong will make assignments based on the best and most appropriate match between the expertise of the grantees and the needs of prospective host universities. Scholars whose work focuses on East-West interactions will be invited to be affiliated with the David C. Lam Institute for East-West Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University.
