Dr. Mushtaq Memon received his veterinary education in Pakistan, PhD from University of Minnesota and veterinary residency training at University of Illinois. He is Diplomate of American College of Theriogenologists (Animal Reproduction specialist veterinarian). He has taught at veterinary colleges of Oklahoma State, Louisiana State and Tufts University, before joining Washington State University (WSU). Teaching and student mentorship are Dr. Memon’s favorite parts of the job at WSU. He was instrumental in starting International Vet Education (IVE) program at WSU. Under IVE, veterinary students take international Vet Med courses and have externship opportunities for hands-on experience in other countries.
Dr. Memon is author of more than 130 publications in scientific journals and book chapters, etc. He has given more than 120 presentations at local, state and national meetings. Internationally, Dr. Memon has taught as visiting professor or a consultant to more than 20 countries, including Argentina, Armenia, Chile, Georgia, Iran, Italy, Japan, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand and Uruguay.
