The Fulbright Ambassador Program identifies, trains and engages a select group of Fulbright scholar alumni to serve as representatives for the Fulbright program at campus workshops and academic conferences across the United States.
For more than 60 years, the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), a division of the Institute of International Education, has served as the collaborating agency for the U.S. Department of State in administering the Fulbright Scholar Program. The worldwide success and stellar reputation of the Fulbright Scholars Program has been built on the talent, commitment and professionalism of scholars who have served as Fulbrighters at universities and research institutions in more than 140 countries.
We recognize the passion Fulbright scholars bring to their work and the tremendous difference they've made in American academia. As a result, we are expanding our outreach efforts to the higher education community across the United States by engaging Fulbright scholar alumni in our outreach. Fulbright Ambassadors serve as official representatives of the Fulbright Scholar program at the events for which they are selected. Join us in welcoming the inaugural class of Fulbright Ambassadors.
