John Stasinopoulos is a tenured full-time professor at College of DuPage in Glenn Ellyn Illinois, where he has been since 1999. He has taught English as a Second Language courses (ESL) as well as teacher training, linguistics, and Modern Greek courses in a variety of settings, such as private language schools, universities, and community colleges. Ha has taught in many different places, such as Greece, Ohio, Georgia, Illinois, and Russia. Besides teaching, he has given presentations at numerous conferences,  had articles published, and  been a textbook reviewer. He has also served on several college-wide committees and is currently chairing the Study Abroad Scholarship Committee. His academic interests include Second Language Acquisition, Sociolinguistics, Corpus Linguistics, and World Englishes.
