Sep 1 How to Internationalize Your Campus Through the Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Program

One of the few Fulbright programs that exclusively serves institutions, SIR funds the work of visiting scholars hosted by Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic-serving institutions, Native American tribal colleges, community colleges and small, liberal arts institutions.
   
Sep 22 2011-12 Fulbright NEXUS Regional Program for the Western Hemisphere
 

Wednesday, September 22, 2010 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT)
The Fulbright Regional Network for Applied Research (NEXUS) Program will bring together a network of junior scholars, professionals and mid-career applied researchers from the United States and other Western Hemisphere nations for series of three seminar meetings and a Fulbright exchange experience. Scholars will spend up to one year engaged in collaborative thinking, analysis, problem-solving and multi-disciplinary research in one of three inter-related topics of regional significance:

Science, Technology and Innovation; Entrepreneurship; and Sustainable energy.

Fulbright NEXUS Scholars will conduct individual and team-based research projects, integrating perspectives from multisectoral stakeholders, to generate knowledge-based, policy-oriented solutions and implementation models at the national and regional levels.

   
Sep 23 The Fulbright Specialists Program: Short-Term Opportunities
  Thursday, September 23, 2010 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT)
This webinar will explore the Fulbright Specialists Program, which promotes linkages between U.S. grantees and their counterparts at universities abroad.  The program awards grants to qualified U.S. faculty and professionals, in select disciplines, to engage in two- to six-week projects at higher education institutions worldwide.  Specialist grants focus on the strengthening and development needs of universities overseas as well as institutions abroad who provide an educational focus to their programming. Eligible activities include teacher training, short-term lecturing, conducting seminars, special conferences or workshops, as well as collaborating on curriculum planning and faculty development..
   
Sep 29 Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence Application: Last Minute Overview
  Wednesday, September 29, 2010 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EDT)
Scheduled two weeks prior to the application deadline, this webinar will provide application advice for the Scholar-in-Residence Program, one of the few Fulbright programs that exclusively serve institutions.
