Fulbright Specialist Program

Information for U.S. Embassies/Commissions

What a U.S. Embassy or Commission does

  • Promotes the Specialist Program to eligible institutions;
  • Manages the in-country project submission and approval process;
  • Determines project approval criteria in accordance with the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), and country-specific priorities.

Fulbright commission and U.S. embassy staff should contact Program Officer Carmel Geraghty at cgeraghty@iie.org for any information about the Specialist Program.
