In the AHEC chat room serves as a vehicle for virtual communication between participants. It allows scholars and facilitators to engage in dialogue and interactive discussions.

In addition, an electronic bulletin board serves as an information sharing platform that will enable AHEC participants to post status reports on their individual and group work and to ask other participants for feedback and reactions. The bulleting board can also serve as an information sharing tool where scholars and facilitators can post articles, data, and other information they deem relevant to the AHEC program or individual AHEC participants.

CIES and IIE program staff will also use this platform for program announcements.
