      • University of Oxford
      • U.K.

Biography

Dr. Quattrone joined the Saïd Business School of Oxford University as Reader in Accounting after serving as an assistant professor at the University Carlos III of Madrid.  Prior to that he was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Manchester Business School, where he conducted research funded by the European Commission and the Centre for Business Performance of the ICAEW on Management Control Systems in Multinational Organizations.

Dr. Quattrone’s research spans from early Modernity to our contemporary post-industrial and post-modern economies and societies.  He is currently studying the success of accounting and managerial techniques for their visual and imaginative power rather than simply for the economic calculations that these produce.  He is a member of the Standing Scientific Committee of the European Accounting Association Congress and of the advisory board of the Interdisciplinary Perspectives in Accounting Research Group at the University of Cardiff.  He is the associate editor of the British Accounting Review, the book editor of the European Accounting Review and serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals.
