Michel Nehme Biography Abstract
      • Director of University International Affairs
      • Notre Dame University
      • Lebanon

Biography

Dr. Nehme’s experience has been founded and derived from a perspective and a vision of post-liberal education. As a Fulbright scholar and expert, he has visited and lectured at American Universities. He is completing my twenty-three years of teaching and service during which he served as Dean in two Universities namely the American University of Beirut and Notre Dame University in Lebanon. He became an initiator and founding member of a number of new disciplines especially in the fields of Non Profit Organizations, Non Governmental Organizations, Corporate, Public, and International law, Political Journalism studies, and International and National Political Economy. In addition to my teaching experience, he is an author of books and over sixty publications in internationally refereed Journals. He believes that one of the needed new steps in all universities is the designing of conceptual innovation approach through which they could offer a more inclusive and global approach to their programs.  Dr. Nehme obtained his M.A. in Political Science in 1980 and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Rutgers University in 1983.
