Programs for U.S. Institutions
The following programs offer opportunities for U.S. institutions to host Fulbright Visiting Scholars and professionals from abroad to lecture at U.S. colleges and universities.
Outreach Lecturing Fund
The U.S. Department of State provides funding, known as the Outreach Lecturing Fund (OLF), through the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), to enable Fulbright Visiting Scholars who are in the United States, for a grant longer than three months, to accept guest lecturing invitations at colleges and universities throughout the U.S. Rolling Deadline

Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Iraq
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Iraq will bring cohorts of Iraqi scholars in select fields to U.S. institutions for faculty development, research, and other guided study activities. Deadline: December 4, 2013
Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Libya
The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Libya is designed to bring junior Libyan scholars to U.S. host institutions for faculty development, mentoring, and cultural exchange activities. Deadline: December 4, 2013
Afghanistan Junior Faculty Development Program
The U. S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) has announced a competition to identify potential host institutions for the 2013 Afghanistan Junior Faculty Development Program
(AJFDP). The 10-week program will sponsor 20 junior faculty from Afghanistan to be placed at one selected U.S. institutions for intensive professional development. Please check back in summer 2014 for an update on the 2015 cohort.
