Employees, spouses or dependent
children of the United States
Department of State or public
and private organizations under
contract to the United States
Department of State are ineligible
to apply for a Fulbright grant
until one year after the employee's
termination.
A candidate who has resided abroad for five or more consecutive years in a six-year year period preceding the date of application is ineligible for a grant. For the purpose of this section, a candidate who has lived outside the United States for nine months or more during a calendar year is deemed to have resided abroad for that year. Applicants must disclose any
prior convictions for commission
of a felony or a misdemeanor (excluding
minor traffic violations). Applicants
must also disclose if, at the
time of application, or at any
subsequent time during the selection
process, they have been arrested
for, indicted for, or charged
with a felony or a misdemeanor
(excluding minor traffic violations),
and the criminal matter has not
been resolved.
