Disciplines
The program will place the visiting Iraqi scholars at their U.S. host institutions in small cohorts of three to five scholars, preferably from the same academic discipline or related disciplines. This model will facilitate connections not only between U.S. and Iraqi scholars and institutions, but also among Iraqi scholars and institutions, and will therefore provide a basis for amplifying the lessons learned in the U.S. through subsequent collaborations in Iraq. The program will initially focus on the following disciplines:
- Applied Linguistics/English as a Second Language (ESL)
- Education
- Management/Business Administration
- Public Health
- Science, Technology, and Engineering
