Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Iraq

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs announced on October 16, 2009, the creation of the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program for Iraq. In support of this inaugural program, proposals are being sought from U.S. universities interested in hosting Iraqi scholars in 2010.

  • Establishing lasting relationships with educational institutions in Iraq
  • Building upon the host school’s international reputation for academic excellence

  • Raising awareness of the host institution’s quality academic programs within its own community
