Grant Activity: Teach two courses: (1) A course for graduate students titled "The Economics of Biotechnology" (4 hours per week), with an expected class size of 25 students; (2) A class for Ph.D. students titled "Economics of Exhaustible and Renewable Resources" (4 hours per week), with an expected class size of 10 students. Both courses will use materials based on journal articles and other similar publications (to be assembled in a course reader available for purchase by the students at a nominal fee to cover copying costs).

Additional Qualifications: A full professor with a Ph.D. in economics or agricultural and resource economics. Extensive research experience and experience in national/international policy. More than 10 years of teaching experience.

Comments: The members of both departments conduct research on environmental and resources economics and economic innovation. They would like the American scholar to collaborate with them in on-going research projects focused on: research and innovation in agricultural economy, policies for competitiveness in the agri-food system, politics of Common Agricultural Policy, domestic policies and international agreements for genetically modified organisms market development, water economics.
