Comments: The scholar will be affiliated with an interdepartmental nucleus created to form an incipient American studies program at PUC. The objective of the Fulbright Chair in Brazil is to enhance and disseminate studies involving the United States and its relationship with the Americas in general, and specifically with Brazil. These studies will favor thematic development either from a holistic and comparative perspective or with a narrower, singular focus. Different approaches may be suggested depending on the subject or field of study involved, including the interdisciplinary treatment of a given topic. Applicants are encouraged to contact the university directly to discuss possible collaborative research projects. Contact Prof. Marco Antonio Pamplona at catedrafulbright@puc-rio.br.
