Grant Activity: The Franco-American Commission is pleased to announce the following distinguished chair opportunities. Each proposal is for one specific academic semester only. Interested candidates should submit a formal letter of invitation from one of the participating institutions; please contact the coordinator at the host institution indicated in the award description. The fall semester award is for business law only at the University of Cergy Pontoise. Teaching Responsibilities: two two-hour seminars per week at Master 2 level; four 2-hour conferences at Master 1 and 2 levels; three lectures to be given outside the host institution (to be organized by host institution); office hours, student advising, grading of exams; and collaborative research with colleagues in the Law School. The spring semester award is for public health only at Medical School and School of Public Health, University of Paris South (Paris XI) and INSERM Unit 822. Teaching Responsibilities: a semester long, 30 hour Master 2 level course on public policy and healthcare: international, comparative perspective; a semester long, 30 hour doctoral seminar on public policy and healthcare in the U.S.; three lectures to be given outside the host institution (to be organized by host institution); office hours, student advising, grading of exams; and collaborative research with colleagues at Medical School and School of Public Health, University of Paris South 11 and INSERM.

Language: The spring semester award requires both English and French, whereas the fall semester requires only English.
Additional Qualifications: Recognition as a scholar and a teacher with rank of full professor is required.
