Grant Activity: Pending consultation with the host institution teaching either three class sessions per week consisting of 90 minutes each (two Austrian academic hours) or two class sessions per week combined with research and/or student advising for graduate and post-graduate students in the grantee's field of specialization. Format, content and level of the individual courses (advanced undergraduate and graduate) are negotiated with the host institution.

Language: Instruction is in English. Some knowledge of German is advantageous but not required.

Comments: The grantee should be a scholar-teacher with interests in fields centrally associated with cultural studies. The Faculty of Humanities is particularly interested in scholars involved in theoretical and methodological issues and who would utilize interdisciplinary approaches with one or more of the faculty's 19 departments in the fields of American studies, ancient and modern history, archaeology, art history, classical and modern languages and literature, education, ethnology, linguistics, musicology and philosophy.
